Celsius Orders Four LNG Carriers

Shipowner Celsius Tankers announced it has ordered four new liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers from shipbuilder China Merchants Heavy Industry (Jiangsu) (CMHI) for scheduled delivery in 2026 and 2027.Celsius has formed a joint venture with an affiliate of ArcLight Capital Partners (ArcLight), a middle-market infrastructure investor, to fund two of the LNG carriers. Celsius Orders Two More LNG Carriers from Samsung

Celsius Tankers and partners have ordered two additional 180,000-cubic-meter-capacity (CBM) liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers from south Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI). The two new ships are scheduled to be delivered in 2024 and will enter into long term time charter with an energy major.According to Celsius, the new vessels’ highly efficient design minimizes CO2 emissions and methane slip from operations via installation of air lubrication, optimization of hull shape and use of the best available paint system to reduce the vessels’ friction in water.

Celsius Orders Four LNG Carriers from Samsung Heavy Industries

Danish shipping company Celsius Tankers announced it has ordered a series of four liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers from South Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries. Upon delivery during 2023 and 2024, the 180,000-cuboc-meter capacity newbuilds will enter into long-term time charters with Clearlake Shipping, a subsidiary of Gunvor Group Ltd.Celsius Tankers recently took delivery of the fourth and last LNG carrier from the previous series of 180,000-cubic-meter capacity XDF vessels ordered at Samsung Heavy Industries in 2018.

SHI Wins Order for LNG Carrier Pair from Celsius Tankers

South Korean shipbuilding giant Samsung Heavy Industries(SHI) has won a new order to build two liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers from Copenhagen-based Celsius Tankers.The shipbuilder said the first order for two 180,000 cbm LNG Tankers is worth 419 billion won (USD376mln). The vessels are scheduled for delivery in 2021.The LNG carriers will be fitted with SHI's developed eco-friendly and Smart ship technologies : SAVER Air and INTELLIMAN Ship. Samsung Heavy Industries to Build Two LNG Carriers for Celsius Tankers

South Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) booked an order from Denmark’s  Celsius Tankers for two liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers, securing an option for further two vessels.A press release said that SHI won a newbuilding contract for two 180,000㎥ LNG carriers from a European shipowner Celsius Tankers. Scanjet Group has followed up its Tank Management order from Stolt-Nielsen with a series of contracts for its ITAMA Intelligent Tank Management concept including Tankcleaning, Tank monitoring, P/V valves and the Scanjet VRC (valve related control) system. New orders have been placed through New Times Shipyard in China to deliver the SCANJET “Surveyor” Tank Management System including valves and the VRC to eight 58.000 DWT bulk carriers, under construction for Cyprus-based owner Lemissoler.
