LBOs cofferdam concept for riser repair is tailor made for each project. Repair works can be executed while the riser is in operation, maintaining production and therefore saving cost. LBO skills and equipment are applied on specific projects for the repair of risers using a cofferdam solution. The LBO cofferdam concept was first used in 2002 on the Heidrun platform in the Norwegian Sea. Since each project may require different specifications, the equipment is custom made to suit the needs of each specific project.
