Stork Awarded Evergreen Gig for UK Assets

UK-based Reabold Resources said Rathlin Energy UK Ltd has signed a rig contract for the onshore UK West Newton appraisal well.The appraisal well at West Newton will have two objectives. Wightlink Says Goodbye to its Oldest Ferry, St Cecilia

Maersk Moves North-East England Coverage to Hull

Changes In The Air For IMCA's eCMID

From January 2018 the International Marine Contractors Association’s (IMCA) will recognize only formal inspection reports conducted using its eCMID database, meaning that paper reports not uploaded into the database will no longer be considered by IMCA to be authorized inspection reports. The whole eCMID system is now based on the principles described in the ISO 19011 Guidance for Auditing Management Systems standard and is aligned with other comparable industry guidance on safety management system assurance.

'Titanic' Shipyard Reinventing Itself

Harland & Wolff in Belfast have been awarded a valuable contract to help build a wind farm substation in the North Sea. The company will build substation jackets and piles for energy company E.On to help make up the foundations of the Humber Gateway offshore wind farm, which is based a few miles off the east Yorkshire Coast, reports the Belfast Telegraph. ABB has won an order worth around $15 million from E.ON UK, to supply the power export cables for the Humber Gateway offshore wind farm. When completed, in 2015, Humber Gateway will consist of a 73 wind turbine array that will generate up to 219 MW of electricity, enough to power up to 170,000 homes.
