AG&P, ADNOC L&S to Convert LNG Carrier into FSU and Deploy it in India

Atlantic Gulf & Pacific International Holdings (AG&P) have signed a charter agreement to use ADNOC L&S 's LNG Carrier Gasha, as a Floating Storage Unit (FSU).The LNG carrier will be used at AG&P's LNG import terminal in India, which will be commissioned in the second half of 2024. Ship managers Synergy Group converted a 1992-built, 126,000 cubic meters capacity Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) carrier into a Floating Storage Unit (FSU). The conversion was performed at Sembcorp Marine’s Admiralty Yard in Singapore.Synergy will manage, maintain and operate the FSU, which has a projected lifespan of 15 years. GasLog Provides FSU for Panama Project

GasLog has recently signed a 10-year time charter with Sinolam LNG Terminal, S.A. for the provision of an LNG FSU to a gas-fired power project being developed in Panama.The time charter is expected to be fulfilled through the conversion of the GasLog Singapore, a 155,000 cbm TFDE LNG carrier built in 2010. The required modifications are such that, as well as being FSU ready, the vessel will still be able to trade as an LNG carrier following the conversion work.The conversion will take place in conjunction with the vessel’s scheduled 5-year dry-docking and special survey in the third quarter of 2020, enabling both time and cost synergies.

FSU Delivered to Bahrain LNG

Teekay LNG’s first Floating Storage Unit (FSU) has been successfully delivered to charterer Bahrain LNG. The vessel delivered from the yard at the end of August, before going on hire on 19 September, 2018. The vessel will be used to support Bahrain LNG in providing an LNG receiving and regasification terminal in Bahrain. The project is 30% owned by Teekay LNG Partners (TGP) and is expected to commence commercial operation in early 2019.The vessel will be used to support Bahrain LNG in providing an LNG receiving and regasification terminal in Bahrain.
