Gazpromneft Marine Bunker in Pact with Cruise Lines
The Gazprom Neft bunkering business Gazpromneft Marine Bunker has concluded new agreements with cruise operators Royal Caribbean International and Saga Cruises.Gazpromneft Marine Bunker will be managing approximately 60 bunkering operations for Royal Caribbean and Saga cruise liners during the summer navigation season (May—September 2019) at St Petersburg’s Marine Façade passenger port.Total sales of marine fuels under these contracts are expected to be in the order of 55,000 tonnes.Passenger cruise liners will be supplied with marine and hybrid oil products with sulphur content of less than 0.1 percent, produced at Gazprom Neft’s Moscow and Omsk Refineries.These highly environmentally friendly marine fuels are designed for use in SECA emission control zones…
Keppel Wins New Marine Contracts
Singaporean conglomerate Keppel Offshore & Marine said that it has secured new marine contracts with a combined value of S$300 million (USD 220 mln) through its subsidiaries. According to a press release from the company, the first contract is by Keppel Singmarine with Shturman Koshelev LLC for the design and construction of an ice-class LNG bunker vessel. When completed in 4Q 2020, the vessel will be chartered to Gazpromneft Marine Bunker Ltd (Gazpromneft) for operations in the Baltic Sea. Global LNG Bunkering Market to Reach USD 8.19bln by 2023
Global LNG Bunkering market is expected to grow from $248.64 million in 2016 to reach $8187.35 million by 2023 with a CAGR of 64.7%. Gulf Petrochem Sets Up Russian & Baltic Trading Desk
Gulf Petrochem Group (GP) has further strengthened its European bunkering division by establishing a Russian and Baltic trading desk within the Rotterdam office. Boris Kuftyrev has been appointed to manage this desk overseen by Chris Todd in Europe’s largest bunkering port, Rotterdam. Kuftyrev has in-depth knowledge and experience having previously held the position of head of sales at Gazpromneft Marine Bunker ltd. He joins GP’s ever expanding back-to-back bunker team and will specifically look to develop the group’s presence in the Russian and Baltic region.
Bunkering First for Gazpromneft Marine Bunker
Gazpromneft Marine Bunker Ltd performed its first delivery of marine oil to the vessel operated by Chevron in Ust-Luga port. The delivery was arranged with cooperation with Gazpromneft-Lubricants – the Gazprom neft’s oil and lubricants business operator – as a part of its agreement for integration into the Chevron’s global supply network. Gazpromneft West bunkering vessel delivered 13.5 tonnes of TARO 40 XL 40 X marine oil to Seamarlin crude oil tanker (DWT 40549 tonnes). The agreement with Chevron was reached in 2012 and provides production of marine oil under the Chevron brand at Omsk and Moscow oil refineries as well as deliveries of these oils within the territories of Russia and the Baltic states.
Bunker Fuel Market Poised 460 million tons by 2020
Transparency Market Research launched its latest study on the global bunker fuel market, in terms of revenue and volume. The report predicts that the global bunker fuel market is likely to reach an estimated volume of 460 million tons by 2020. The market, therefore, is poised to exhibit a moderate 3.1% CAGR during 2014-2020, expanding from 372.30 million tons in 2013. Bunker fuel is a fractionally distilled liquid fuel derived from crude oil. Also known as fuel oil, the substance can be classified on the basis of its chemical composition, intended purpose, and boiling point. Unlike other petroleum products, bunker fuel is more polluting and highly unrefined. Apart from fuel oil, there are other middle distillate fuels, which are also used as bunker fuels.
New LNG Carrier Bunkers in Russia
Gazprom Marketing & Trading’s (GM&T) says that its newly delivered LNG carrier “Pskov” has received bunkers (Heavy Fuel Oil and Marine Gas Oil) at the port of Nakhodka in the Primorskiy Region of Russia. This marks the first time a GM&T time-chartered LNG vessel bunkered in a Russian port. Bunkers were provided by another Gazprom subsidiary – GazpromNeft Marine Bunker. Upon completion of the bunkering operation, “Pskov” proceeded to the port of Prigorodnoye where the LNG terminal of the Gazprom-majority owned “Sakhalin-2” project is located. After completing the gassing up and cooling down of her cargo tanks and loading LNG, the vessel will deliver her maiden cargo to a GM&T customer in Asia.
