APC Names Liu Global Tech Services Manager

Advanced Polymer Coatings (APC), the Ohio, USA-based manufacturer of protective tank coatings for chemical and product tankers, appointed Daniel Liu as its new Global Technical Services Manager. Liu is an 18-year veteran with APC, most recently serving as the company’s Technical Services Manager for East Asia and Western Pacific Region.APC is on a strong growth trajectory, aiming to quadruple its manufacturing capacity with a new state-of-the-art automated manufacturing system.

CSL’s New Laker Equipped with Berg Electric Drives

Emissions reductions have been confirmed for the first laker to feature a diesel-electric drive train, after the initial weeks in service of Canada Steamship Lines’ new self-unloader Nukumi. GTT Inks Services Deal with Fleet Management

GTT said it has signed a Global Technical Services Agreement (TSA) with Hong-Kong based ship-management company Fleet Management. GTT Inks Services Deal with Knutsen

France-based GTT said it signed in June a global technical services agreement (TSA) with the Norwegian shipowner Knutsen OAS Shipping AS. This new agreement covers a fleet of 17 vessels by 2022, including 12 currently in service and five under construction, all equipped with Mark III Flex or NO96 technologies, developed by GTT.GTT will support Knutsen with the maintenance and operation of the vessels. Global Diving & Salvage, Inc. announced the expansion of its California regional operations with the addition of a new office in Southern California. Global Diving & Salvage to Offer Global Technical Services

Global Diving & Salvage has announced the addition of Global Technical Services (GTS) to its three core services: marine construction, marine casualty response and offshore support. GTS is offering a wide range of Non Destructive Testing (NDT) instruction services to industry clients in coordination with Alaska Technical. Courses will offered to energy company, aviation, rail and infrastructure clients and will include visual, magnetic particle, dye penetrant, ultrasonic, radiography, radiographic film interpretation and eddy current courses.

Imtech Marine Group (global technical services provider) has been commissioned to supply the entire “green” technical infrastructure on board Greenpeace’s new flagship Rainbow Warrior III. Together with a large number of other initiatives, this project serves as proof of the present development in “green” ships. The Rainbow Warrior III (almost 190-ft in length) is the successor of the present Greenpeace flagship Rainbow Warrior II. Greenpeace wants its new flagship to be the ultimate example of sustainability.
