Amogy, a provider of ammonia-to-power solutions has announced the expansion of its operations into South Korea with the opening of an office in the Pangyo Techno Valley.This will Amogy close to established investors and partners, including SK Innovation, Samsung Heavy Industries, HD Hyundai, Hanwha, SV Investment, and Korea Zinc.Korea’s status as an early adopter in ammonia and hydrogen fuel technologies, along with robust national policies that support the clean tech economy, was a major driver in Amogy’s decision to establish a local presence.
EU Project Aims to Improve Arctic Shipping Safety

SENER Lectures on 3D Ship Digital Design
The SENER Group division in Shanghai has presented the FORAN System in the Dalian Ocean University (DOU) in China on October 28. Invited by the DOU, the Technical Consultant Zhi Jiang, from SENER´s office in Shanghai, gave the lecture ‘3D Ship Digital Design with FORAN System’ about the outfitting design with FORAN, one of its main design disciplines. More than 40 students from the School of Navigation and Naval Architecture of DOU have attended the lecture with great interest in FORAN.

Bureau Veritas, Brazilian University Speeds Deepwater Development
International classification society Bureau Veritas has agreed a technical co-operation deal with COPPE/UFRJ, the Ocean Engineering department of the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, to set up a joint development centre. The move builds on co-operation agreements with nineteen universities in China, Russia, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Australia, Taiwan and France and is intended to speed the development of tools and technical requirements needed to facilitate Brazil’s expansion into deep offshore oil exploitation. China’s Harbin Engineering University Uses FORAN
SENER has entered into a co-operation agreement with the Harbin Engineering University (HEU) in China, to provide FORAN licenses to the Digital Shipbuilding Laboratory of the University, for educational and research purpose. Thanks to the agreement, a FORAN Technical Support Centre has been set up at this Laboratory at the Beijing facility of HEU. The company United Force Corporation (UFC), has also participated in the agreement, as a partner of SENER for the distribution and technical support of FORAN in the Chinese market.
