Luxury Sailing Ship to be Powered by Ingeteam Electrical Equipment

The French shipyard Chantiers de Atlantique has selected Ingeteam to provide the electric propulsion for the luxury sailing ship Orient Express Silenseas.The ship has solid sails which make it the largest sailing ship in the world. Ingeteam Tech for Wallenius LNG Vessel

Electric power conversion specialist Ingeteam has signed the contract with Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore (China) for Swedish Wallenius SOL’s LNG-powered newbuilds.The contract comprises of the delivery of the engineering, production, commissioning and sea trials of the Hybrid Electric Propulsion System for two icebreaking Ro-Ro Ships.The 241.7 m vessels will be equipped with two Type C LNG tanks have a sailing speed of 20 knots and a capacity of 5800 lane meters. DNV GL certifies Ingeteam’s 2MW DFIG converter

Ingeteam, a leading supplier of electrical conversion equipment, has announced that it received DNV GL’s certification for its IngeconWind stator-equipped 2MW DFIG converter. With this latest achievement, Ingeteam completes the range of its products covered under DNV GL certification, such as the medium voltage full power converters and the statorless DFIG converters; and demonstrates its ability to consistently meet DNV GL’s quality and safety requirements across multiple drive-train topologies.

DNV GL Awards Component Certificate to Ingeteam

DNV GL has awarded a component certificate to Spanish technology company Ingeteam for its new wind frequency converter INGECON WIND DFM 3000 family. The INGECON WIND Full Converter MV Series 3000-10000. The converter family is built for easy maintenance, optimized to be compatible with all generator technologies and suitable for on and offshore applications. Ingeteam’s newest wind frequency converter is the first electrical component certified according to DNV GL’s new Certification Scheme for type and component certification of wind turbines, the DNVGL-SE-0441. This service specification identifies DNV GL’s services for type and component certification of onshore and offshore wind turbines.

GE Marine, Ingeteam Marine Partnership

GE Marine, a unit of GE Transportation, signed a business cooperation agreement with the Marine division of Ingeteam, a company headquartered in Spain that specializes in electronic control system automation and application engineering in the marine, industry, railway traction and renewable energy fields. The agreement will include joint marketing, sales efforts and technology development in the marine space for a variety of vessels. The partnership will enable both companies to offer customers integrated marine propulsion systems by bringing together GE Marine’s world class medium-speed diesel engines and Ingeteam Marine’s power and propulsion systems and vessel automation, all of which range in power from 1045 kW to 4240 kW.
