Foss Maritime Centralizes Ops with Helm

Foss Maritime will centralize fleet management and operations with Helm CONNECT. My-Villages Purchases DockMaster

My-Villages, a marine mobile technology company, has acquired DockMaster, an information management solution provider for marine retailers, marinas and service centers. The integration of DockMaster software and My-Villages’ consumer and professional application, called The Boat Village, will create an integrated software solution for marine businesses in the industry. By combining the DockMaster and The Boat Village technology products, My-Villages will serve more than 600 marinas, dealers, boatyards and marine service centers in North America and the Caribbean, and facilitate the care of tens of thousands of vessels. GL Releases New Thickness Measurement Software

Thickness measurements for a ballast water tank

The latest version of classification society Germanischer Lloyd's (GL) thickness measurement software Pegasus, was recently released. To verify the structural integrity of a vessel, hull thickness measurements must be periodically take, with each measurement point documented. The number of required measurement points can number up to 20,000 - all repeatedly measured over the life of the vessel, creating a vast amount of essential data which must be effectively managed and assessed.

Ship Management Software by GL for Held

German shipping company Held chooses GL Shipmanager System for its technical ship services division. The GL ShipManager software facilitates maintenance activities, supports quality and safety management processes and simplifies data and information management. Intelligent data synchronization between office and ship ensures that the same information is available onboard and onshore. The software will be installed in their Haren office and on all vessels. Held's ship management fleet has grown over the last years and today, it comprises 30 vessels, most of which are multi-purpose vessels, but also mini bulkers and container vessels are technically managed by the company.

Reederei Claus-Peter Offen Selects ABS Nautical Systems

ABS Nautical Systems today announced that implementation of its NS5 Enterprise software suite has begun on Reederei Claus-Peter Offen’s fleet of container vessels. Based in Hamburg and one of the world’s largest suppliers of modern container tonnage, the company will be utilizing three modules from ABS Nautical Systems’ integrated software solution. Reederei Claus-Peter Offen purchased the Maintenance & Repair, Purchasing & Inventory and Voyage Management modules for its fleet of 103 vessels. These modules provide the tools to track maintenance expenses, upcoming drydocks and repairs, inventory replacement needs, fuel consumption and cargo operations across their entire fleet.
