Global non-vessel operating common carrier (NVOCC) and ocean freight consolidator CaroTrans announced a new weekly less than container load (LCL) service from Atlanta to major markets in Japan including: Tokyo, Yokohama, Kobe, Nagoya and Osaka. This service eliminates transshipment and double handling in Los Angeles and Busan. Freight moves from Atlanta to Tokyo in 29 days, Yokohama in 30 days, and Osaka, Nagoya and Kobe in 33 days. In Japan, CaroTrans’ partner of 16 years, Seino Logix, provides secure unpack and expedited distribution throughout Japan. Strategic European hub location offers fastest transits from France to U.S. Gulf. CaroTrans announced a new, weekly LCL export service from Le Havre, France to Houston which will commence April 5. This direct service shortens shipping time by 5-11 days for freight moving from France to the U.S. Gulf region including: Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, El Paso, Laredo Austin, New Orleans, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, as well as Los Angeles on the West Coast. The Le Havre departure point eliminates the congestion, delays and additional handling associated with routing via Antwerp and Rotterdam.

Troy Container Line Ltd., one of the largest American-owned NVOCCs, today announced the promotion of Leeanne O’Reilly to Export Supervisor at Troy Container Line. Based in the company’s Red Bank, N.J. office, O’Reilly will oversee the unification of the FCL and LCL Export departments.
