Inchcape Shipping Services Names Svend Stenberg Mølholt CCO

Port agency and marine services company Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) announced the appointment of Svend Stenberg Mølholt as Chief Commercial Officer, effective January 9, 2024.Svend has been in the shipping industry for 20 years, most recently serving as the Group COO in Monjasa Holding, a global fuel and shipping company. While serving as the Group COO, Svend also held the position of Chairman of the Board at RelateIT, one of Denmark’s largest NAV/Business Central partners.

Maersk to Merge Damco, Ocean Product Units

Maersk Heir Takes Top Post in Holding Company

The grandson of Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller, who transformed A.P. Moller-Maersk into an international conglomerate, was on Monday appointed chief executive of the holding company behind the Danish shipping giant. The move sends a signal that the Maersk family will remain an active owner of the listed company, but it also distances the heir from daily operations, analysts said. Odfjell Elects Klaus Nyborg Director of the Board

Odfjell SE’s Extraordinary General Meeting, held December 9, 2015, supported the Nomination Committee's proposal and elected Klaus Nyborg as new director of the Board. Nyborg, a Danish citizen, owns no shares in Odfjell SE and has no formal ties to major shareholders of the company, according to Odfjell. Nyborg was recently Interim CEO of DS Norden AS from 2014-2015, where he has also been on the board since 2012, and chairman since 2015. He also serves board director of several other companies, including being chairman of A/S United Shipping & Trading Company and BAWAT A/S.

Top US Shipping Execs to Receive USS Awards

Anthony Chiarello, Matthew J. Cox and James C. The United Seamen's Service (USS) 2015 Admiral of the Ocean Sea Awards (AOTOS) will be presented to Anthony Chiarello, President and CEO of TOTE; Matthew J. Cox, President/CEO of Matson Inc.; and James C. McKenna, President and CEO of Pacific Maritime Association. The maritime industry awards are to be presented at the 46th annual gala industry dinner and dance in New York on November 13, 2015. On January 1, 2012 American Shipping Group underwent a dramatic transformation. The company, formerly known as ASG, became TOTE, Inc., and experienced a makeover in logo, look and structure. Maersk Logistics is to open six new offices in Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. With the opening of the new offices, Maersk Logistics has a total of eight offices in the region, covering Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua and Panama.

A.P. Moeller Strategizes Purchase of DSL's Assets

The transport unit of Danish oil and shipping group A.P. Moeller, Maersk Logistics, said on Thursday it planned to buy certain activities and assets of global logistics company Distribution Services Ltd (DSL). "The deal is not yet closed and the amount would be undisclosed," Maersk Logistics said. DSL, with headquarters in both the U.S. and Hong Kong, has 200 operating offices in 60 countries and 1,500 employees.
