Nautronix Inspire Young People into the Industry
Nautronix gave young people across Aberdeen City and Shire an insight in to the oil and gas industry and the exciting career opportunities available to them. Working with Coaching Training Consultancy Ltd, (C-T-C) and their SCIP program, Nautronix invited 14 pupils aged between 16 and 17 from St Machar, Dyce and Inverurie Academies to take part in the Nautronix workshop. The SCIP program aims to support fourth-sixth year pupils who are looking for a job or an apprenticeship program after leaving school.
L-3 Closes Purchase of Nautronix
L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. has completed its purchase of Nautronix Defense Group, the mine and anti-submarine weapons systems maker, for $65m in cash plus a possible $6m more, depending on financial performance. Nautronix Strengthen Sales Force
Nautronix specialists in through water communications and positioning technologies, has announced the appointment of 3 Vice Presidents to their sales team. Experienced subsea development manager, Dan Williams, is serving as the company’s VP Sales, Commercial Acoustics. In his new role, Dan will assume direct responsibility for building the awareness of Nautronix ADS² technology in the global marketplace. He will also facilitate the company’s development in the diver communications market.
Nautronix Celebrates 30 Years
Through water communication and positioning technology company, Nautronix, celebrated 30 years in the oil and gas industry this week. Their financial year has come to an end and they are reporting growth in 2012/2013 of more than 41% on the previous year, the company said, with revenue increasing to £16.1 million which demonstrates how much the company has grown over the years. The success of the company comes from the introduction of the Survey Services division and a number of significant contract wins including recently awarded contracts with an approximate value of £2.8 million. Nautronix Sign Contract for Vessel Controls Systems
Nautronix has signed a multi-million dollar contract with Keppel FELS Limited in Singapore for the supply of systems for their new construction for ENSCO International Incorporated. The ENSCO 8500 is an ultra-deepwater semi-submersible drilling rig. The scope of supply includes Nautronix NMS6000 multi-station Class 2 Dynamic Positioning (DP) System, Thruster Controls, Vessel Management System as well as associated environmental and position reference sensors. Nautronix will also supply their Dual NASDrill RS925 multi- hydrophone LBL / SBL Acoustic Positioning System. Delivery of equipment will be for the end of 2006 with commissioning due in 2007. provide a dependable acoustic DP sensor for ultra deep water positioning.

The latest order is for the ENSCO 8501, which is scheduled for completion by the second quarter of 2009 for mobilization to the Gulf of Mexico. The scope of supply includes Nautronix NMS6000 multi-station Class 2 Dynamic Positioning (DP) System, thruster controls, a vessel management system and associated environmental and position reference sensors.

Nautronix Wins DP Contract from Rowan
Nautronix will supply their NASDrill RS925 Positioning System to Rowan’s new Ultra-Deepwater Drillships. Nautronix have been awarded a contract to supply NASDrill RS925 deepwater acoustic positioning system for Rowan’s new ultra-deepwater drillships. The vessels will be constructed at Hyundai Heavy Industries shipyard in Ulsan, Korea and are based on a Hyundai Gusto P1000 design. The first vessel will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2013, with the second one estimated to be completed in 2014. Nautronix received orders for their NASDrill RS925 systems through a well known Norwegian DP Supplier who will supply their Dynamic Positioning (DP) System for these vessels.
Nautronix Names Business Development Manager
Nautronix are pleased to announce the appointment of Alessandra Bunel as Business Development Manager for the Brazilian region. Alessandra will be based full time at Nautronix’ Brazilian office in Rio de Janeiro and will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and increasing the company’s presence in the region. Alessandra brings a wealth of industry experience in Business Development and Sales. Her most recent role was Business Development Director with Drilling Systems Ltd- Innovation in Simulations.
Nautronix Wins Major Contract In Norway
Nautronix have been awarded a three year contract by the Norwegian SURF contractor, Ocean Installer AS, for the supply of survey services to support their offshore construction activities. The contract includes the provision of onshore and offshore survey services in support of tendering and project activities. Nautronix will initially mobilise survey personnel and equipment onto the Normand Clipper, Ocean Installer’s long term chartered construction vessel due to commence offshore operations in May 2012.
Nautronix to Supply Rowan’s Third New Ultra-Deepwater Drillship
Nautronix has been awarded another contract to supply NASDrill RS925 deepwater acoustic positioning system, for Rowan’s third new ultra-deepwater drillship. Nautronix Opens New Office in Norway
Nautronix announces the opening of a new office in Norway and the appointment of Jørn Berg as Vice President of Sales for Norway. Nautronix Deliver First Systems of $10M Order to Rowan
Nautronix have successfully delivered the first two NASDrill RS925 and NASeBOP (Emergency BOP Acoustic Control) systems from their current order of four systems for two of Rowan’s new ultra-deepwater drillships, the Rowan Relentless and the Rowan Reliance. The total contract value is worth approximately $10 million. Nautronix’ NASDrill RS925 system has been designed specifically to meet the requirements for a reliable, stable DP and position reference system for demanding offshore operations, in particular deepwater drilling vessels.
OSI Awarded $1.2M Contract with Royal Australian Navy
Offshore Systems International Ltd. has been awarded a $1.2 million contract to supply the Royal Australian Navy with immediate delivery of OSI's most advanced electronic warship navigation systems ('WECDIS'). This is a follow-on order to the $8 million subcontract OSI signed with its teaming partner, Nautronix, in March 2004 when OSI became fleet supplier to the Royal Australian Navy for electronic chart navigation systems.
OSI Gets Australian Navy Contract
Offshore Systems International Ltd. (OSI) announced that its teaming partner, Nautronix Ltd., has signed the final prime contract to supply the Royal Australian Navy with a fleet installation of OSI's ECPINS-MTM electronic chart navigation system. "We announced our selection by the Royal Australian Navy this past July, and we are pleased that the complex technical evaluations and prime contract negotiations are now fully complete," said John Jacobson, President and CEO of OSI. "This procurement further expands our track record in the naval market, and it will significantly improve the Royal Australian Navy's ability to operate jointly with NATO-member navies. Bollinger Completes Conversions on Dive Support Vessels
Bollinger Shipyards, Inc., has performed conversions and modifications to three separate dive support vessels for EPIC Divers & Marine. The first of the three conversions was completed on the 220-ft. x 45-ft x 21-ft dynamically positioned (DP) Class II Dive and ROV support vessel EPIC Diver at the Bollinger Algiers location. The EPIC Diver is one of the newest acquisitions to the EPIC fleet and will be their primary DP and ROV support vessel. While at Bollinger the vessel renewed her regulatory status and documentation, received DP system upgrades with the installation of the L3 Communications (Nautronix) NMS 6000 Duplex DP System, while taking on the new colors and name EPIC Diver. The vessel is ABS Certified, DPII, and SOLAS.
California Fish & Game recently took delivery of P/V Thresher, a 54 ft. all-aluminum catamaran, designed by Teknicraft of Aukland, New Zealand, and built by Kvichak Marine, of Seattle, Wash. The partially foil-supported catamaran will be stationed in Dana Point as a Fish and Game Marine Enforcement patrol vessel for Southern California. The cat's beam is 20.2 ft., and weighs nearly 28 tons fully loaded. Powered by twin Caterpillar 3196 DITA diesel engines, driving 30 in. stainless steel propellers through Twin Disc MG 5114A gears, Thresher cruises at 26 knots with a top speed of 30 knots. Deck equipment includes an aft deck A-frame to deploy and retrieve a customer-supplied Hurricane inflatable.
