Nautronix Celebrates 30 Years

Through water communication and positioning technology company, Nautronix, celebrated 30 years in the oil and gas industry this week. Their financial year has come to an end and they are reporting growth in 2012/2013 of more than 41% on the previous year, the company said, with revenue increasing to £16.1 million which demonstrates how much the company has grown over the years. 

The success of the company comes from the introduction of the Survey Services division and a number of significant contract wins including recently awarded contracts with an approximate value of £2.8 million. As a result of the growth and success of Nautronix in the past year, they have employed an additional 42 people and as they continue to grow, they have budgeted to increase their work force to 120 people in 2013/2014.

As a technology company, Nautronix has invested £1.5 million in the research and development of their products and have recently completed a major NASeBOP project for acoustic switches for BOPs, which has now been successfully supplied and is currently on back order.  They have invested £20million on this product alone over the past couple of years and the system has been developed and manufactured in their production base in Aberdeen.

As Nautronix continues to develop their product range and service offering, they have invested a further £1.2 million developing the latest state of the art Digital Diver Communications System, NASDive which will be launched soon. They will also be releasing a new range of Beacons from the Dolphin Range and there is a number of exciting research and development projects that are planned over the new financial year.

In support of continued business growth, Nautronix also opened a brand new Headquarters in Aberdeen, "the energy capital of Europe" and a new office in Stavanger, Norway and the company also established a larger site in Houston, Texas.
