DSME Wins LNG carrier Order

South Korea’s shipbuilding giant Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) has received an order liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier.The vessel capable of transporting 174,000 cubic meters of LNG will be built at Geoje Okpo shipyard for an undisclosed shipowner from Oceania, said the shipbuilder.DSME didn't provide the value of the contract. Euronav to Deploy ULCC for LSFO Storage

Fincantieri to Build Two New Ships for Norwegian's Oceania Cruises

Samsung Heavy Bags Two More New Orders for LNG Carriers

South Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) has received an order to build two new liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers worth a total of about 426 billion Korean won (USD 378 mln).The South Korean shipbuilding giant  did not reveal the company behind the newest order but said it is a North American shipper.SHI said in a stock exchange annoucement that it would deliver the vessel in Augsut 2021.It was four days ago that the shipbuilder won contract for LNG carrier newbuilding  from an undisclosed owner from Oceania is worth KRW 209 bn (USD 186 million).

South Korea's major shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) announced yesterday (Thursday) that it has clinched a deal to build a liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier.According to a press note from SHI, the contract from an undisclosed owner from Oceania is worth KRW 209 bn (USD 186 million). Samsung Heavy Industries Wins a LNG Carrier

South Korea's shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) has clinched a new contract  for a  liquefied natural gas (LNG) newbuilding.According to a press statement from the company, the contract is worth KRW 212 billion (USD 185 million). The fifth run of the MPA Academy Port Management Programme (PMP), aimed at port masters, harbour masters and middle managers from maritime and port authorities, kicked off today with a record 20 maritime officials from across Africa, Asia, Latin America, Middle East and Oceania. DSME Wins $368 Mln Order

South Korean shipbuilder Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co Ltd (DSME) has won a 394 billion won ($368 million) order for two liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier vessels from an unnamed firm, Yonhap reported. The shipbuilder is expected to deliver two 170,000 cubic meter capacity LNG carriers to an owner in the Oceania region by September 2020, according to Yonhap.

Radio Holland has appointed Steen Brodsgaard Lund as Regional Director Asia. He will be responsible for Radio Holland’s operations in Asia, with offices in China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. Lund is a Danish national, and developed his career over the past 28 years while living in Pakistan, South Korea, India, Hong Kong, China and Singapore. San Diego Expecting Larger Cruise Season

The Port of San Diego is preparing to welcome 83 cruise calls during the 2017-2018 cruise season, with a wide variety of itineraries visiting this inspiring destination. This season Holland America Line remains a strong presence on San Diego Bay along with continued growth from Disney Cruise Line. On Thursday, October 5, the Disney Wonder will be in port, along with Holland America Line’s Nieuw Amsterdam. Approximately 242,000 passengers are expected this year, up from last year’s 224,000.
