Memphis Orders Fire Rescue Patrol Boat
San Francisco Bay Area boat designer and builder Moose Boats said it has been awarded a contract from The City of Memphis Fire and Police Departments for the construction of a M2-38 Fire Rescue and Patrol Catamaran.Twin Cummins engines at 425hp each with Hamilton water jets will power the boat, which is being built to respond to incidents on the Mississippi River and in The Port of Memphis, Tenn. Moose Boats Delivers 2 Patrol Boats
Aluminum boat manufacturer Moose Boats announced the delivery of two patrol boats. The builder delivered a M2-38’ Patrol Catamaran to the United States Park Police in Fort Tilden, New York, as well as a M2-38’ Wide Cabin Patrol Catamaran to the New Jersey State Police in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. The U.S. Park Police’ all aluminum catamaran is powered by twin 425hp Cummins turbo diesel engines with TwinDisc transmissions coupled to Hamilton HJ292 water-jets. Maneuvering is achieved by dual complete Hamilton BlueArrow control stations at both the central cabin helm station and cockpit.

All American Marine, Inc. is pleased to announce their latest vessel contract awarded by the Port of Los Angeles Harbor Department for a new dive and patrol catamaran. The 65’ x 24’ aluminum catamaran will be used by the LA Port Police dive team and will feature Teknicraft Design’s signature hull shape and hydrofoil technology. The design of the vessel is based upon the previously built R/V Shearwater and R/V Fulmar, which are operated by NOAA throughout California’s four National Marine Sanctuaries.
Kvichak New Foil Assisted Patrol Cat
Kvichak Marine Industries, Inc. is currently constructing a third generation foil assisted all-aluminum patrol catamaran. Designed by Kvichak Marine, this 57.8 ft vessel can be used as a fast response patrol boat, survey boat, crew boat or general work boat. The hull and superstructure will be constructed of marine-grade aluminum alloy plate and extrusions. A square A-frame with hydraulic winch is located on the aft deck and will facilitate launch and recovery of skiffs/ROVs and fit around an over height 8-ft wide container. Kvichak Increases Presence in Cat Patrol Boat Market
Kvichak Marine Industries has furthered its presence in the catamaran and patrol boat markets by combining the two to construct patrol catamarans. The company's newest delivery is an add-on to its 54-ft. (16.4 m) patrol catamaran that was built for California Fish and Game (CAF&G). Named Thresher, the vessel will be joined by a sistership, Marlin, this coming spring. In addition, the company said the Alaska Fish & Wildlife Protection (AF&WP) - that has ordered a new cat for fisheries patrol. This new generation of catamarans is conducive because of their increased stability and usable deck space for patrol operations. Each will also house a variety of deck equipment along with boarding launches.
Mission Marine Delivers Patrol Catamaran
Mission Marine, Ltd. delivered its Mission 29-ft. 338 Pilot House Model to Monroe County Sheriff Marine Patrol in August located to Monroe County, NY. The aluminum catamaran will be used in a variety of missions including search and rescue, patrol, homeland security, drug intervention, and escorting the high speed ferry owned by the City of Rochester, and to assist the Coast Guard and Border Patrol. The Mission Marine vessel complements their fleet for rough water missions on Lake Ontario. The vessel is powered by twin 2006 Mercury Verados. Mission Marine provided a one-day training seminar, both classroom and on-water instruction, to the Monroe County Marine Patrol officers. The boat will based on the Genesee River at the Marine Patrol Headquarters.
