Equinor, Shell Extend Offshore Vessel Charters with DOF

Offshore vessel owner DOF said Tuesday it had won vessel charter extensions with Norway's Equinor and Shell in the UK.Equinor has exercised options to extend the firm periods of the contracts for 2008-built Skandi Mongstad PSV for three years, and 2010-built Skandi Vega AHTS vessel for two years. Both vessels have worked continuously with Equinor since delivery from the yard in 2008 and 2010, respectively.Also, Shell UK Ltd has exercised an option to extend the contract for the platform supply vessel Skandi Kvitsøy for one year firm, from end March 2022.Furthermore, DOF's subsidiary DOF Rederi has sold Skandi Rona, a platform supply vessel built in 2002, with delivery in April. DOF did not share the financial details.

iSURVEY Bags rig positioning, surveying contract with Shell

iSURVEY has secured a non exclusive call-off contract with Shell UK Ltd, Shell NAM, Norske Shell and Shell E&P Ireland for the provision of rig positioning and surveying services. With an effective date of 1 January 2017, the three year contract, which has the option of up to two, one year extensions, will see iSURVEY provide non exclusive rig and surface positioning services, subsurface positioning and dimensional control and platform surveys to Shell’s mobile offshore drilling units. Hydrasun Secures Shell Integrity Management Contract

Hydrasun, a provider of integrated fluid transfer, power and control solutions to the global energy market, has secured a five-year contract with two, one year extension options,  for the continued supply of Flexible Hose Assembly (FHA) and Small Bore Tubing (SBT) integrity management services together with product supply, to  Shell U.K. Ltd. This new award signifies Hydrasun’s commitment to long-term customer relationships, as it extends the company’s track record, since 2007, of supporting Shell with the provision of these services under the terms of a formal contract. The scope of work, covering all Shell U.K. assets offshore and onshore, includes the provision of hose management services, technical support, inspections and supply and installation of FHA’s.

NCS Survey Wins Shell Rig Position Deal

NCS Survey, an Acteon company, won a rig positioning contract by Shell. The contract covers Shell’s four entities in Europe; Shell UK Ltd, Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij BV, A/S Norske Shell and Shell E&P Ireland Ltd. The contract is for three years with two one-year extension options. This is the second time that NCS Survey has been awarded such a contract by Shell, first one being in December 2006 less than 18 months after the company was incorporated. Shell Orders from Survival Craft

Shell UK Ltd placed an order for two new 72 seat lifeboats from Survival Craft Inspectorate Ltd in Aberdeen. The lifeboats will replace two 56 seat lifeboats aboard the Anasuria FPSO operating in the North Sea. The new lifeboats will use the vessel’s existing davits but due to their design, will enable an increase in crew carrying capacity. Merseyside gets first UK Escort Tug Simulator

The UK's first full active escort tug simulator is to be installed on Merseyside. The Polaris(tm) System, manufactured by Kongsberg Maritime Ship Systems AS, allows tug captains to learn how to escort large ships in a completely safe, simulated environment. The escort tug simulator-training facility is an enhancement of the 360* ship's bridge simulator at Birkenhead-based Lairdside Maritime Centre, which is the only one of its kind in the UK. It is expected to be fully in service by November. The £50,000 project has been jointly funded by Shell UK Ltd, Svitzer Marine and Wirral Waterfront, a single Regeneration Budget Initiative funded by the North West Development Agency.
