North Star Orders Daughter Craft Duo from Alicat for Dogger Bank Wind Farm Ops

UK-based offshore vessel operator North Star has awarded a £2 million contract to Great Yarmouth firm Alicat Workboats to build two new Chartwell designed daughter craft.The vessels will be added to North Star's new renewables fleet which is bound for the Dogger Bank offshore wind farm, located off the North East coast of England, from next year.Last September, Alicat Workboats won a contract to build an initial two daughter crafts for the offshore wind service vessel operator. The vessels have a hybrid powered design, developed by Chartwell Marine, in collaboration with North Star.

Awind's Newbuild Vessel to Support Construction of Dogger Bank Wind Farm

Norwegian-based Awind has secured a charter contract for its first “walk-to-work” Commissioning Service Operation Vessel (CSOV) at the Dogger Bank offshore wind farm in the UK.The contract at what will become the world's largest offshore wind farm will start in the second quarter of 2023. V.Group to Manage ADNOC's 93 Offshore Vessels

Tug and Barge Solutions Passes 100 Vessel Milestone with Helm CONNECT

Alabama-based Tug and Barge Solutions (TBS) announced that more than 100 vessels now use  Ivy Marine's Towing Safety Management System and audit services, powered by Helm CONNECT software.Founded in 2012 by tug captain turned ISM/ISO auditor Pat Folan and towing vessel operators Steve Wilson and Patrick Boles, TBS has been helping towing vessel operators achieve compliance with the US Coast Guard (USCG), International Safety Management (ISM), Tanker Management and Self-Assessment (TMSA) and other standards for more than five years.Starting with operators on the US Gulf Coast and along the Intracoastal Waterway, TBS has steadily expanded to serve vessel operators throughout the US.

Helm Operations assisted Ivy Marine, LLC obtain its SUB M TSMS Certification. Ivy Marine, LLC, a two-towboat company out of Mobile, AL is now the third and smallest company in the United States to obtain their TSMS Certificate. Ivy Marine’s President. “Before Helm CONNECT, we used a paper-based system for all of our required forms and reports on the boats. Helm CONNECT allowed us to increase efficiency across the business, streamlining functions like compliance, inventory management and preventative maintenance.

Ivy Marine, LLC, a two-towboat company out of Mobile, AL has become one of the first companies in the United States to obtain their TSMS Certificate. They are also the smallest company in the country to have obtained this certification. “Ivy Marine partnered with Tug & Barge Solutions to develop a Towing Safety Management System (TSMS) that meets Subchapter M and the AWO RCP standard,” said Steve Wilson, Ivy Marine’s President. Ivy Marine, LLC also installed HelmCONNECT on its vessels which has helped them obtain their TSMS Certificate.
