Imtech Marine Becomes RH Marine Group

The new RH Marine Group, formerly known as Imtech Marine was introduced at the Europort exhibition in Rotterdam today. Following the recent acquisition by Parcom Capital and Pon Holdings, Imtech Marine will now be known as RH Marine Group, built on the roots of founding companies Radio Holland and van Rietschoten & Houwens. The two ‘pillars’ for service and newbuild activities within Imtech Marine are also involved in the new naming structure. Global NavCom, Connectivity, On Board ICT service and maintenance brand Radio Holland will keep its name but will have a new logo.

Canal Marine, Techsol Marine Enter Partnership

Canal Marine and Techsol Marine announced a partnership agreement that will combine the companies' expertise for providing marine system design and fabrication, including switchboards, motor and generator controllers, AC/DC drive and winch controllers, alarm and monitoring systems, navigation and radar equipment, along with circuit breaker testing, repairs and certification. Kobelt Hires Business Development Managers

Kobelt announced today the hiring of Lance Lidstone and Sylvain Robitaille as Business Development Managers. Both will report directly to David Bockhold, CEO, and will be responsible for business development in the controls and steering sectors worldwide. Lance Lidstone comes to Kobelt with over 30 years of experience in technical sales and engineering roles with Wagner, Jastram and AMT. Lance has a deep technical understanding of steering systems, classifications and hydraulics, but has also held roles in senior management and sales, providing a balanced approach to understanding the needs and requirements of the shipbuilding industry.

Imtech Subcontracted Under Canadian NSPS Program

Imtech Marine Canada (IMC) has been awarded its first subcontract of the extensive Canadian government National Shipbuilding Procurement Strategy (NSPS) Program for the engineering of an Offshore Fisheries Science Vessel. Imtech Marine takes responsibility for the ships’ platform automation, electrical solutions, electric propulsion and heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and has started the first engineering activities. In October 2011, Imtech Marine announced its involvement in the realization of the extensive NSPS program as a technology partner of Seaspan Vancouver Shipyards.

Imtech Acquires Techsol Marine

Imtech N.V. acquired the Canadian marine company Groupe Techsol Marine. This strategic acquisition means that Imtech has now a high-tech marine production site available in Canada. The acquisition also strengthens Imtech's service and maintenance foothold in North-America. With over 100 employees, Groupe Techsol Marine realises annual revenues of around 20 million euro. The acquisition will be paid in cash and will directly contribute to the earnings per share. Imtech CEO René van der Bruggen: 'We enjoy a strong position in the global marine market, being active in over 20 countries at more than 70 local offices along all major shipping routes and near major shipbuilding centres. In accordance with our strategic growth plan, we aim to significantly strengthen our marine activities.
