Aqualis Offshore Lands Study Job for LNG Barge
Offshore marine and engineering consultancy Aqualis Offshore, part of Oslo-listed Aqualis ASA, has been contracted by Gas Entec Co. Ltd to provide an engineering study of a new-build LNG barge that will operate offshore the U.S. The contract value is undisclosed. Aqualis Offshore’s work scope is to provide a Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) study for Control and Alarm Monitoring System (CAMS), Emergency Shutdown System (ESDS), and Wireless Telemetry System installed on the 2,200 cubic meter LNG bunkering/transport barge. The LNG bunkering/transport barge will carry LNG cargo from the port facilities towards LFS (LNG Fuelled Ship) for bunkering. The LNG bunkering barge is built by Conrad Shipyard, Texas, for TOTE.
DIN Mount Gateway from SignalFire Wireless Telemetry
SignalFire Wireless Telemetry now offers a Modbus DIN Mount Gateway that combines a high power SignalFire radio with gateway electronics in a compact DIN mounted module with external SMA antenna connections for installation flexibility in remote monitoring applications. SignalFire’s Remote Sensing Systems consist of a gateway and nodes that connect to remote assets and extract data from or send control data to those devices through other nodes and/or the gateway. The SignalFire Gateway serves as a two-way interface, connecting asset managers to a remote mesh network of assets using industry-standard Modbus protocol. All sensor data is stored in Modbus format.
MIMO Offers Wireless Local Control of Assets
SignalFire Wireless Telemetry has expanded the capabilities of its Multi Input/Output (MIO) Module to connect directly (Modbus) with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or be configured to perform autonomous local control where an input can trigger a relay output when a set threshold is met. In its standard configuration, the MIO Module provides wireless I/O capability as part of Signal Fire’s Remote Sensing System, sending data from attached sensors to a SignalFire Gateway that can report inputs and write outputs via its wireless network. Now, when operating in non-wireless Modbus mode, the SignalFire Multi I/O Module can be connected directly to a user’s controller via Modbus RS-485 or operate independently without any outside device controlling it.

Expro Awarded Contract Extension in Cameroon
Leading international oilfield services company Expro is celebrating a significant contract extension with Perenco in Cameroon. The award is an extension of services from a previous well campaign and will last for the duration of one year. Expro will provide an extended well test, data acquisition services and its drill stem testing (DST) package including Expro’s CaTS™ wireless telemetry technology which will be utilised as a surface read-out system. Work will take place across two exploration and appraisal (E&A) wells in the Lungahe and Elombo fields and two development wells in Dissoni.
