The hallmark of D Series material handlers from SENNEBOGEN is the engineering focus on operator safety and comfort that led to the distinctive maXCab operator station.

The maXCab’s most visible difference from conventional operator stations is its unique sliding door design, coupled with a permanent catwalk and guard railing to surround the cab entry. The overall result is an entry and exit path that is more open than swinging doors can allow, with enough security that operators can safely leave their cab without first lowering it to deck level. Another handrail protects the stairway that leads up to the cab, so operators take a continuously secure, guarded route from the ground to their work station.

Inside, the ergonomic layout of operator controls affords a roomy feel that’s enhanced by a 360o view through tinted panoramic windows. While clear visibility from the cab helps to improve productivity, it also contributes to safety by reducing operator fatigue through long working shifts. The maXCab’s heated air-suspension seat adjusts to the individual preferences for reaching the control levers and foot pedals. Automatic heating and air conditioning continuously self-adjusts the inside air temperature through 8 separate air vents for an even, comfortable cab climate.

The maXCab is offered with a choice of SENNEBOGEN’s high-rise systems which elevate the cab to heights up to 19.4 ft. (5.9 m). As well as standard vertical elevation, option configurations include an articulating boom that allows operators to move the cab “up and out” over the undercarriage, or to tilt the cab forward for a more comfortable downward view.
