Boykin VP Quality, Northrop Newport News

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has appointed Jennifer Boykin vice president of quality and process excellence for Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding in Newport News, Va.

Boykin is responsible for the formulation, management and oversight of the quality and process excellence programs, policies, goals and objectives. She directs and controls the planning, development, and enforcement of comprehensive and integrated quality and continuous improvement programs throughout the division and across the sector. She reports to Matt Mulherin, sector vice president and general manager of Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding's Newport News operations.

"Jennifer Boykin's leadership, experience and attention to detail will help us continue to drive accountability into our quality and process excellence organizations to meet these challenges."

Boykin joined the company in 1987 in the nuclear engineering department. She most recently served as vice president of process excellence and has held progressively responsible positions, including director of facilities and waterfront support, program manager for the nuclear engineering division, and construction superintendent for the aircraft carrier program during construction of the USS John C. Stennis and USS Harry S. Truman.

She earned a bachelor's degree in marine engineering from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and a master's degree in engineering management from The George Washington University.
