Angarsk Petrochemical launches Euro 5 fuel Production

 

Angarsk Petrochemical Company, a part of Rosneft processing cluster, has shipped the first lot of  Premium-95 fuel compliant with the Euro-5 standard.

The production of Euro-5 fuel was provided by the investment program realization on full-scale modernization of the enterprise aiming at full transition to production of fuel compliant with the Euro-5 standard. As part of the program, a state-of-the-art fully automatic fuel blending unit was put into operation since 2012.

The launching of Euro-5 fuel production will benefit the environmental situation in regions where the fuel will be sold. Euro-5 contains minimal (less than 10 ppm) amount of sulfur, aromatic hydrocarbons and benzol, the combustion products of which are most harmful for the environment.

Along with high ecological properties, AI-95 gasoline produced by APCC corresponds to advanced operational requirements, such as fractional composition, saturated vapor pressure and smooth routing of antiknock quality at size divisions which are highly important for Siberia and Far East regions with their harsh environmental conditions during winter period.
