Offshore Systems Ltd. announced the sale of five S-VDR 5000 systems to Peter Döhle Schiffahrts – KG
shipping group, Hamburg, Germany. Five vessels (Alexandria, Aida, Attika, Aurelia and Ariga) will get S-VDR 5000
upgrades to their ECPINS (ECDIS) systems. Three additional S-VDR 5000 systems will be purchased in the near future.
Peter Döhle is an existing Offshore Systems commercial grade navigation system customer with ECPINS 4000 on order or installed on eight multipurpose vessels. Founded in 1956, Peter Döhle is the operator and exclusive chartering agent for a diversified fleet of almost 200 vessels mainly consisting of container vessels, coasters and bulkcarriers.
ECPINS/S-VDR 5000 meets all the IMO carriage requirements and allows customers to reduce costs while improving safety at sea. The system captures the ECDIS screens in addition to the required S-VDR data, adding a further benefit by providing a complete picture of the navigational situation. This is important for post incident investigation but also offers
customers the ability to improve training by showcasing best navigation practices.
