Stanford Marine Fleet Gains 75m Diesel Electric PSV
Stanford Marine, a regional offshore marine business, announced today from its Dubai headquarters the delivery of the latest addition to its fleet. The Stanford Hawk, a 75m diesel electric platform supply vessel (PSV) is one of two sister vessels being built at the Fujian Mawei shipyard in Fuzhou, China. The Hawk and her sister due for delivery by end of the second quarter 2014, the Stanford Eagle, are modern closed bow designed PSV’s with DP2 and FiFi1 notation.

Navy Divers Salvage F-16C Aircraft From GofM
Navy sailors and divers from Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit (MDSU) 2, embarked aboard the Navy's rescue and salvage ship 'USNS Grasp' (T-ARS-51), find and salvage a downed F-16 aircraft off the coast of Virginia. The downed aircraft was one of two F-16 fighter jets from the 113th Wing, D.C. Floatel Orders Fifth Keppel Accommodation Semi
Keppel FELS Ltd. was awarded a contract worth about $280 million by Floatel International Ltd. to build its fifth accommodation semisubmersible (semi) for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2015. Keppel FELS previously delivered the accommodation semis, Floatel Superior and Floatel Reliance, in 2010 and is currently constructing two more: Floatel Victory and Floatel Endurance. Jack-up 'Maersk Convincer' Malaysia Contract Extended
Petronas Carigali, the Exploration and Production subsidiary of Malaysia’s national oil company, has exercised its contractual right to extend the contract for the jack-up Maersk Convincer by one year. Consequently, the rig will be on contract with Petronas until mid-November 2014. As part of the drilling campaign offshore Malaysia the rig is expected to do High-Pressure-High-Temperature drilling and Under-Balanced drilling for which the rig is ideally suited.
Diesel-Electric Units Prepared for Navy’s AGOR Project
During most of 2012 Cummins Northwest was busy with the procurement of the various subsystems and assembly of the diesel-electric units for the two Ocean Class Auxiliary General Purpose Oceanographic Research (AGOR) vessels building at Dakota Creek Shipyards. The company delivered the first four-unit ship set in January of this year. Seattle-based Guido Perla & Associates, Inc. has done the design work for the two vessels.
