Ship Equip's Shanghai Office Receives First Contract

The opening of the Ship Equip Shanghai Office in 2010 has proved successful with the first contract signed on May 10th with Ningbo HaiZhiXing Ocean Fishery. The contract was signed during a new Technology & Product Conference held in Shanghai by Ship Equip and partner company Beijing Highlander.

Ningbo HaiZhiXing Ocean Fishery Co,. Ltd.,  is a Ministry of Agriculture qualified, large-scale offshore fishing enterprise, which owns 16 professional offshore squid fishing vessels with 6 more currently under construction.  HaiZhiXing operates in high seas of the Southeast Pacific (Peru), North Pacific and Southwest Atlantic (Argentina). It is Ship Equip’s first deal in the Chinese market and the SEVSAT system is to be installed on Ningbo HaiZhiXing fishing vessel “HaiZhiXing 805”. Subsequently the system is scheduled to be installed on all their newbuilds. 

The signing of the contract was part of a Ship Equip and Beijing Highlander new Technology & Product Conference that was held together in Shanghai. Nearly two hundred well-known shipping and shipbuilding enterprises, research institutions, Com. & Nav. Companies and industry experts from Shanghai, Jiangsu and the Zhejiang area attended the conference and dinner party after the conference.

The SHIP EQUIP Group of Norway, a strategic partner of Beijing Highlander, presented to the participants the development of the company's SEVSAT and TVRO products. Aimed at the marine industry they provide efficient, cost-effective maritime broadband, telephone and TV solutions for ships on all seas. During the interactive section after the speech given by Ms. Kou XingTong, the audience showed a great deal of interest and continued to discuss many topics in relation to Ship Equip’s SEVSAT and TVRO solutions. Afterwards the products were demonstrated, providing a hands-on experience.
