Singapore has been involved in a multi-agency maritime security exercise, codenamed Exercise Apex.
The exercise, which ends on Friday, also marks the launch of the Harbor Craft Transponder System.
Singapore is the first country in the world to have such a system, allowing agencies to automatically track and monitor small powered harbor and pleasure boats.
This enables faster action in case of suspicious activity in Singapore waters.
The annual exercise involves around 2,000 personnel from the Navy, Police Coast Guard and other agencies.
Different security scenarios are also played out to see how effective agency collaboration is, under realistic conditions.
