Lifting industry specialists Modulift and IMES have formed a joint venture to offer an integrated management service to clients internationally.

The two companies have combined to create the new customizable package which will focus exclusively on “below the hook” operations. The Lift Management Services (LMS) offering links all components and processes to give clients a full support mechanism for any major heavy lifting project from start to finish.

The partnership harnesses Modulift's lifting engineering capabilities, which encompasses the design and supply of the lifting equipment, to IMES’ engineering consultancy and inspection expertise to forge a complete, life-of-lift proposition.

“The Lift Management Services partnership reflects the growing demand for a more involved, in-depth service," said Sarah Spivey, managing director of Modulift. As lifting projects grow in scale and ambition, so does the need for a careful and complete planning and execution process below the hook – and that's where we believe this joint venture comes into its own.

“This new market offering is all about safety and efficiency," said Rod Buchan, executive chairman of IMES. "It incorporates all the relevant risk assessment and traceability elements, while also complying with all regulatory and legislative requirements.”

Buchan continued, “Available to clients around the world, working in all industry sectors, Lift Management Services is an exciting new step forward for both IMES and Modulift. By extending our service portfolio to reflect the changing requirements of our customers, we aim to remain at the forefront of industrial lifting operations internationally.”

The LMS service – which starts and stops below the hook - encapsulates all elements to deliver project management from design engineering to full on-site support.

It is designed to support companies who require management of their lifting projects, in particular where spreader beams, lifting beams or lifting frames need to be designed and/or supplied.

The division features a team of lifting engineers, project consultants, rig planners and on-site support, complemented by fully certified and approved products.
