ICOMIA Superyacht Refit Group Welcomes New Member

On Friday, June 6, 2014, German shipyard NCP-Repair Shipyard Šibenik Ltd. joined the ICOMIA Superyacht Refit Group as its 11th member.

The International Council of Marine Industry Associations’ (ICOMIA) Superyacht Refit Group represents quality refit, repair and maintenance yards. Working towards maintaining and improving global superyacht quality, the Refit Group follows professional working standards and specified environmental practices.

Founded in 1905 as a central Austro-Hungarian naval base, the Refit Shipyard of Šibenik developed its services and facilities through maintenance of demanding navy fleets. In 2004, the yard was privatised by the Nautical Centre Prgin (NCP) with the aim of becoming the foremost refit centre for yachts and commercial vessels on the eastern side of the Mediterranean.

NCP-Repair Shipyard Šibenik Ltd is a leading ship repair yard on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea, specializing in repairs of all types of vessels up to 90 meters in LOA, and in new build vessels up to 60 meters LOA. NCP offers Repair, Refit, Conversion and New Build Supervision services, as well as complete Technical Management, as well as refitting existing and fabricate new boat systems, propulsion systems, ship systems, and steel and aluminium hulls.

NCP-Repair Shipyard Šibenik Ltd. combines established experience and modern technology in order to provide a comprehensive range of services at a fair value. NCP Refit firmly believes that its reputation must be based on customer satisfaction and 24/7 availability of technical assistance both on shore and at sea.

ICOMIA Superyacht Refit Group members conform to a unique Code of Practice, which brings certainty to refit and eases the owner's concerns on how their yacht's refit will be managed and the quality that will be achieved. In addition, Refit Group members offer their clients a standard framework contract developed by prominent international marine lawyers.
