The Democratic Caucus of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure issued a News Release stating that, by a vote of 394-19, the House voted to instruct its conferees to hold to the provision in the House version of the Coast Guard Authorization Act that requires foreign-flag vessels calling in U.S. ports to have a security plan that has been approved by the U.S. Coast Guard. The Senate has not yet appointed or instructed its conferees on this bill. (HK Law).
