Another Takeover for Carnival Corp.?

The world's largest travel group Preussag AG on Monday declined to comment on reports that Carnival Corp was considering a bid for its Hapag-Lloyd cruise division.

Carnival was reportedly considering the move to gain a foothold in the European market. A spokeswoman for Germany's Preussag declined to comment on the report.

"We don't comment on market rumors," she said.

Carnival Corp. officials were not immediately available for comment.
