Teknotherm Marine Moves HVAC Arm to Bergen

Maritime heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) firm Teknotherm Marine has established a new subsidiary is established with the name Teknotherm Marine HVAC AS. The company, already up and running from the main office in Halden, will move to and be operating in Bergen from the second quarter this year.

 
Combined with the Teknotherm refrigeration competence and Heinen & Hopman’s worldwide presence and network, the company is aims to be a strong partner nationally and worldwide for designers, yards and owners.
 
“As Norwegian shipyards, designers and owners are world-leading for several types of vessels, we see Bergen as an important strategic base for the new activities,” explained Managing Director, Jon Aksel Brynildsen. “We want to be part of this industry and provide high quality, both technically and customer support on global basis. Therefore we are building up an experienced team with skills in the global HVAC market.”
 
Outside Norway, Teknotherm is already a provider of HVAC systems. While in Norway the company has been providing refrigeration machines, which is one of the key elements in a HVAC system, to all the big vendors in Norway for decades.
 
“Teknotherm has a strong brand name within the maritime sector, now we want to develop the brand further and include HVAC even more than earlier,” said Group Chief Executive, Roy Moberg. 
 
Until the office in Bergen is opened, the work will be managed from the main office in Halden by Jon Aksel Brynildsen as Managing Director and by Christer Mattsson as Sales Director.
