Vessels: Ocean Quest Conversion Completed

Maritime Activity Reports, Inc.

April 24, 2003

Master Boat Builders delivered Ocean Quest (ex-Gulf Quest), a 145-ft. converted Dive Vessel for Oceaneering Intl. Conversion work consisted of the addition of a 270 kW Cat 3406 gen set for auxiliary power, a Gardner Denver oil compressor, three Quincy low pressure dive compressors, one high pressure dive compressor (filling bottles), on hydraulic power unit for tools, one hydraulic unit for a crane, and one Red Fox sewage unit.

On deck, Master added a Techcrane C20-30 crane. In addition, the yard added two decompression chambers, a head/shower, walk-in freezer, two washers, two dryers and a five-ton AC unit.

Trite but true, the path to decarbonization has no ‘silver bullet’ solution.
