Opus Marine Expands Fleet with Damen Fast Crew Supplier
Offshore logistics service provider Opus Marine, part of Zeitfracht Group, has expanded its fleet with a new Damen Fast Crew Supplier (FCS) 2710, named Allegro at a ceremony on Thursday.The vessel will begin immediate operations, transporting technicians to wind farms offshore, and according to Damen, the shipbuilder, the crews will enjoy the highest possible comfort onboard.The vessel was built by Damen Shipyards Group in Antalya.
AMS Buys Damen Fast Crew Supplier to Serve French Offshore Wind Market

Dutch shipbuilder Damen's new Fast Crew Supplier (FCS) 7011, which will be able to carry 122 people in a single trip, hit the water earlier this month at Damen Shipyards Antalya, Turkey. ABS Grants AiP for Damen's Fast Crew Supplier for U.S. Offshore Wind
Maritime classification society ABS has granted its Approval in Principle for Damen Shipyard's Fast Crew Supplier 2710 crew transfer vessel aimed for deployment in the U.S. offshore wind industry.To achieve approval, Damen has modified the design of its standard FCS 2710 to meet the US requirements. Waterjets are now incorporated, driven by engines that are compliant with US Environmental Protection Agency regulations.

Damen Shipyards Group and the German Bundesamt fur Ausrüstung, Informationstechnik und Nutzung der Bundeswehr on Friday signed the contract for the construction of four MKS-180 frigates for the German Navy. Damen is the main contractor for this complex project which it is undertaking, together with partners Blohm+Voss and Thales, in Germany.The combination of companies was previously declared the winner of a European tender; the largest in the history of the German Navy.
BC Ferries’ Hybrid-electric Newbuilds Enter Service
Canadian ferry operator BC Ferries said its newest vessel, Island Aurora, officially entered service Thursday on the Port McNeill - Alert Bay - Sointula (Vancouver Island-Cormorant Island-Malcolm Island) route.
