SpecTec Announces The New Contract with Oceanex

Maritime Activity Reports, Inc.

April 6, 2011

SpecTec is happy to announce a new contract signed with Oceanex Inc for the implementation of AMOS2 Staff Management for crewing services. As part of this project, SpecTec will implement the AMOS2 Crewing Database and configure the system identically to the existing AMOS2 Staff Management database currently being used by Oceanex Inc. both onshore and onboard the company’s three vessels, M/V Oceanex Avalon, M/V Cabot and M/V Oceanex Sanderling.

Recent projects to assist Oceanex in streamlining their business operations have included the development of an interface between AMOS and CODA Financials. This interface allows the pertinent information to pass between the AMOS systems to CODA, the financial management software used by the company. With the creation of this interface, vouchers can now be transferred from AMOS system to CODA.

As a leading provider of intermodal transportation solutions to Newfoundland from locations throughout North America, Oceanex continues to set the pace for service efficiency, safety and reliability of transport. As a leader in the region, Oceanex has chosen to use the full AMOS2 Enterprise Management Suite to assist in their business operations. The AMOS2 system being used since 2009 includes AMOS2 Staff Management, AMOS2 Quality Management Systems and AMOS2 Maintenance & Purchase.

Oceanex Inc., a privately held company headquartered in St, John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, provides intermodal transportation services to the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Oceanex Executive Chairman, Captain Sid Hynes, along with his management team and almost 400 employees, is committed to not only support the company's growth as a significant intermodal carrier in Atlantic Canada, but also evaluating long-term growth opportunities beyond the company's current sphere of activities.

SpecTec looks forward to this new installation of AMOS2 and continuing the relationship with Oceanex Inc. for many years.
