Frank Armitt & Son Announces Online Stock Reporting System

Runcorn based shipping agent Frank Armitt & Son announced the launch of their new website which provides the North West Steel Trade with an innovative steel freight management system.

The new online reporting system offers suppliers and companies in the steel industry the ability to manage their imported materials online using Armitt’s Steel Management Portal which is accessible through their new website.

Customers can log in to the portal at their convenience to monitor the warehousing and delivery status of their imports. The system allows customers to filter their steel freight on coil number, size, weight and delivering vessel. There is also the facility to view images online of the material after discharge.

Key information is presented to steel importers such as the number of days their materials have been in stock and when their material has been requested for delivery.

In addition Stock call off requests can be made online which are sent directly to Armitt’s logistics team. Specific materials can be selected and ordered for delivery. The new system alleviates errors and allows our steel customers to complete load requests at a time convenient to them.
