President and CEO of CG/LA Infrastructure Norman F. Anderson issued the following statement prior to President Obama’s State of the Union address:

“CG/LA Infrastructure looks forward with great anticipation to President Obama’s remarks on how we can improve the current $8 trillion in U.S. infrastructure stock,” Anderson said. “First, though, we need a strong vision that will drive our project selection - and our competitiveness.  Infrastructure projects are not public works, or 'shovel ready' they are strategic assets, 30-40 year investments critical to economic growth and opportunity creation in the United States."

“Infrastructure needs to be recognized as an immediate bipartisan priority in Washington, and I hope to hear the president present a vision that will focus us on the mission necessary to creatively address our immediate and future investment needs,” Anderson continued. “The president needs to bring private sector resources and energy to bear on this huge opportunity, providing the leadership to get Republicans and Democrats working together on this number one national economic security issue.”

CG/LA Infrastructure will be hosting the 7th Global Infrastructure Leadership Forum in New York City from February 26 to 28, 2014. The Leadership Forum is a unique, dynamic infrastructure marketplace designed to provide 500+ high-level executives from engineering, construction, design firms, investors, equipment and technology firms, with access to key decision makers and project sponsors from around the world
