MarAd Approves Five Applications

The Maritime Administration (MARAD) has approved five applications under section 9 of the Shipping Act, 1916, as amended. They include:

· Coastal Towing, Inc., Spring, TX, has received approval to sell the 1,454-gross-ton tank barge COASTAL 2007-L to Overseas Bureau Shipping, a Panamanian corporation, and transfer said Vessel to Panamanian registry and flag. The vessel was built in 1977 in Nashville, TN.

· C. S. Liftboats, Inc., Erath, LA has received approval to sell the 2,518-gross-ton Jack-Up Drilling Rig M/V TRIDENT CRUSADER to National Drilling Company, a United Arab Emirates corporation, and transfer said Vessel to United Arab Emirates registry and flag. The vessel was built in 1999 in Pascagoula, MS.

· Eastern Overseas, Inc., Palm Coast, FL, has received approval to sell the 24,563-gross-ton containership MANULANI to Maritime Delivery, Inc., a British Virgin Islands corporation, for scrapping in China. The vessel was built in 1970 in Sparrows Point, MD.

· Seacor Offshore Inc., Morgan City, LA, has received approval to sell the 1,238-gross-ton offshore supply vessel SEACOR ALCINA to Maritima Mexiciana, S.A. de C.V., a Mexican corporation, and transfer said Vessel to Mexican registry and flag. The vessel was built in 1998 in Moss Point, MS.

· Arthur Levy Enterprises, Morgan City, LA, has received approval to sell the 1,576-gross-ton offshore supply vessel SEACOR VALIANT to Maritima Mexiciana, S.A. de C.V., a Mexican corporation, and transfer said Vessel to Mexican registry and flag. The vessel was built in 1999 in Moss Point, MS.
