Markup of Coast Guard Authorization Act

Maritime Activity Reports, Inc.

March 8, 2004

On March 10, 2004, the Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation is scheduled to meet and markup the Coast Guard Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2005 (H.R. 3879). As introduced, the bill is barebones, with provisions only for authorization of appropriations and for authorized strength levels. One must not lose sight of the fact that Congress has yet to enact the Coast Guard Authorization Act for 2004, which is still pending in the Senate. (HK Law).
Trite but true, the path to decarbonization has no ‘silver bullet’ solution.
