The Bosphorus Strait in Turkey reopened at 3:40 p.m. local time on July 21 following the grounding of general cargo ship Majed & Randy due to mechanical failure, Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) advised.
ISS also advised that the Bosphorus Strait will be closed again in both directions on July 22 from approximately 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. due to ongoing construction works on the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, initially named the Third Bosphorus Bridge.
The exact reopening time of the Bosphorus Strait on July 22 will depend on the completion of the work and could be extended.
