Inchcape Continues Expansion in Mexico
In the latest in a succession of new launches, Inchcape Shipping Services has opened up additional offices in the Mexican ports of Coatzacoalcos, Dos Bocas and Ciudad del Carmen, on the Gulf of Mexico coast.
ISS Regional Managing Director for North and Central America, Lars Westerberg, said “We commenced our operations in Mexico with a Greenfield operation with Octavio Armas as our Country Manager based in Mexico City. We have now further expanded our presence with the three additional offices to broaden our service area to our principals.”
The Mexican economy is the 12th largest in the world and is forecast to become the sixth largest by 2050. Based on free market principles it is export-oriented and according to the World Bank, has the highest income per capita in Latin America in market exchange rates and the second in purchasing power parity. Mexico is the only Latin American member of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.
