As an education partner of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Governor Control Systems (GCS) is authorized by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) to offer CEU credits for the Woodward Training Program.

Approximately 42 states require engineers to earn CEUs to maintain their Professional Engineer (P.E.) licenses. The IACET CEU is the hallmark for quality in continuing education and training.  IEEE is also an Authorized Provider for the Florida State Board.

Governor Control Systems is the #1 Woodward distributor in North America. GCS factory-trained and certified instructors offer a comprehensive schedule of practical and theoretical training, including live demos in a closed-loop environment. The Woodward Training Program covers basic theory, operation, installation and practical hands-on skills. Standard classes are designed to give you a better understanding of product operations, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair. Classes can be tailored to meet your specific application, control system requirements and preferred time frame. Custom classes may be tailored to the customer’s specific application and requirements and select specialized classes for mechanical governors and actuators to upper level electronic controls.

GCS awards Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or Professional Development Hours (PDHs). Class participants are awarded 2.4 CEUs or 24 PDHs for a 3-day course and 1.6 CEUs or 16 PDH for a 2-day course.  To receive CEUs for participating in GCS Woodward Training program, students must register for and attend the class, and pay the administrative fee associated with the award of CEUs. Students apply for CEUs after the class is completed by filling out and submitting the IEEE CEU notification form.

IEEE maintains a registry of all students who earn CEUs, regardless of IEEE membership. Individual reports for students are generated on request.
