The Army Battle Command Directorate has awarded Alion Science and Technology a contract valued at up to $47m to support the command with analytic, engineering, programmatic and scientific subject matter expertise.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity support services contract runs for a base year with four, one-year options. The work begins this month and will run through July 2012, if all options are exercised.
Alion will provide expertise to support statutory, regulatory and policy functions and tasks assigned to the Army G-37 Battle Command Directorate. The work includes modeling and simulation management, education and training support, software blocking management and monitoring of the Central Technical Support Facility at Fort Hood, Texas. The facility tests, manages and supports communications systems that are being deployed in theater.
Alion has supported the Army Battle Command Directorate since 1996.
