CEECO Gets Coast Guard Contract

Horne International, Inc. announced that the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) awarded a contract to Coast Engine & Equipment Company, Inc. (CEECO) to undertake renovations and repairs on the William Tate, a USCG buoy tender. The estimated value of the contract is $312,000. CEECO is a wholly owned subsidiary of Horne International, a leading program engineering and technology solutions company.

Based in Cape Canaveral, Florida, CEECO provides specialized fabrication and maintenance support for ship and maritime navigation systems for U.S. ports and waterways, as well as for industrial customers. The extensive work on the William Tate includes decking and pipe restoration, insulation repairs, rebuilding of sump pumps, buoy crane repairs with testing and calibration, and the cleaning of environmentally sensitive tanks and other storage areas. Once the project begins later this month, CEECO expects renovation of the William Tate to be completed in six weeks.
