ITI Wins Navy Contract

Ion Track Instruments,* Alexandria, Va., is being awarded a $35,958,788 fixed-price, indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity contract for Vapor Tracer two handheld explosive and narcotics detectors and associated spares for the U.S. Government. Work is to be performed in Wilmington, Mass., and is to be completed by May 2006. Funds in the amount of $13,838,952 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured and advertised on the Internet with one offer received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity (N00164-02-D-8502).
