Dragflow has delivered a dredging hydraulic pump with frontal cutterhead to an Iranian company for the construction of a fishery port near Jask area in the Persian Gulf, South of Iran.

Before finding in Dragflow equipment the best solution, they were dredging mechanically with a long boom excavator on a barge. As the operation were too slow, they decided to switch to the hydraulic dredging by connecting Dragflow HY85/160HC equipped with DTM85 cutterhead on the CAT345 boom.

Dragflow equipment proved to be the ideal solution, with a daily production of about 280m3 of dry material (10-11 hours/day) discharged at 1 km distance from the barge. After 4 months using the pump and dredging 25,000m3 dry sand, the client is very satisfied with the pump.

Trite but true, the path to decarbonization has no ‘silver bullet’ solution.
