Press release - Danelec Marine has announced that it is expanding its presence in Brazil by naming Telnav Telecomuniçacões Navais a Certified Service Center.

With nearly 30 years of market experience, Telnav employs a technical staff of 15 engineers and technicians, serving four key Brazilian ports: Rio de Janeiro (its headquarters), Santos, Vitoria and Macaé. Last year, Telnav made over 1,200 service calls, and the company expects this number to grow to 1,500 by the end of 2015.

“We are well known in the industry for delivering services in a timely manner. Partnering with Danelec Marine means we can provide even faster and more efficient support for shipowners who operate in Brazil,” said Samuel Mourao, service manager for Telnav.

Earlier this year, Telnav became a Danelec Marine distributor. As a Certified Service Center, Telnav will maintain a substantial inventory of replacement units and spares to ensure availability at short notice. In addition, company technicians will undergo extensive training to handle Danelec Marine installations and repairs.

Danelec Marine has established the industry’s most rigorous standards for its distributors and service partners to ensure standardized policies and procedures. All service technicians must undergo an extensive training curriculum to become certified to perform installations and annual performance tests (APTs) on the Danelec products. Danelec monitors and certifies every installation and APT to make sure they conform to quality standards.

In addition to its commitment to training, Danelec Marine has launched new initiatives to make shipboard service faster and more efficient. Last year, it introduced eSERVICEConnect, an Internet, cloud-based solution that automates and streamlines shipboard service for its products worldwide.
