Second Deadline for Small Shipyard Grants

The Passenger Vessel Association wishes to remind its members and interested parties that anyone who missed the April 20 deadline to submit an application for the U.S. Maritime Administration’s Small Shipyard Grant Program has another chance.  Congress has given MARAD another “pot” of funds totaling $17m. Proposals for this second round of grants are being accepted now and can be turned in to MARAD no later than Monday, May 11. 

An application previously submitted by April 20 for the first “pot” of $100m will automatically be considered for the second round of $17m.  There is no need to apply more than once.
