Log-Net Offers Directing Filing on 10+2

Log-Net, Inc., provider of web-based supply chain execution solutions announced that its web-based portal services allows importers, or their agents, to file the required importer data elements directly to U.S. Customs to comply with the "10+2" regulation.

ON Nov. 26, CBP officially released its interim final rule on the Importer Security Filing, also known as the "10+2" rule. Beginning January 26, 2009, all importers will be required to provide CBP with additional data elements 24 hours prior to lading for all ocean shipments inbound to the United States.

Log-Net announced the availability of its Importer Security Filing (ISF) Options several months ago, before "10+2" became a rule. "We have been testing this capability and our clients and other early adapters preparing for this regulation are seeing the potential for two to five additional days of inventory in their supply chains. We want to help them avoid this by implementing seamless electronic solutions over the web," noted John Motley, president and CEO of Log-Net, Inc. This service will enable importers to file from any location via shippers, forwarders or brokers.
