The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Tampa assisted the crew of a disabled fishing vessel about 70 miles east of Cape May, New Jersey, Friday.

The fishing vessel Hope & Sydney lost steering and power.

The Tampa crew arrived on scene Friday with the Hope & Sydney, established a tow Saturday and arrived Sunday near Cape May.

A boat crew from Coast Guard Station Cape May met the Tampa and relieved its crew of the tow before towing the Hope & Sydney into port.

The cutter Tampa is a 270-foot medium endurance cutter homeported in Portsmouth, Virginia.
