Disney's 'Frozen' Coming to the High Sea

Maritime Activity Reports, Inc.

January 28, 2015

Disney Ship is “Frozen” in Alaska. Nay...The ships are not really stuck — being “Frozen” is all about Disney’s blockbuster movie and it’s now spreading to the ships especially, the ones going to Alaska and Europe.

Disney will offer brand-new experiences inspired by the film on select Disney Cruise Line voyages in mid-2015. Frozen film enthusiasts will have the opportunity to embark on an entire cruise inspired by the movie.

Disney Cruise Lines have just announced that they will offer an immersive experience - including a deck party, three-song stage show and character meet and greets - on board select Disney Magic and Disney Wonder sailings.

According to the cruise line, guests will be transported to the land of ‘Frozen’ with the ship also transformed into a winter wonderland including sparkling icicles on the grand staircase and a “magical freeze” in the atrium lobby.

Disney said the cruise will include “memorable moments with Anna, Elsa, and for the first time in forever, Kristoff and Olaf”.

‘Frozen’ themed dining experiences, including a menu inspired by traditional Nordic fare and special dishes inspired by the film will also feature on the cruises.

Guests on cruises bound for Norway can also opt for shore excursions to Alesund, one of the places that inspired the storybook setting of the film's fictional town of Arendelle.

Seven and nine-night voyages are also available for sailings through Norwegian fjords, with ports of call at Stavanger, Alesund, Geiranger, Molde, Olden and Bergen.
